Free Info Sessions Start Tonight; More Innovation

Hi fans of live online singing,

Our next Song Circle, benefiting Save the Children - Ukraine, is next Sunday, March 20, 3:45-5:00 Pacific. I hold optional free 20-minute Info Sessions on Zoom to provide details and take questions from people who may be interested in joining our circle (and are within 1000 miles of San Francisco). Upcoming info sessions (all times Pacific):

  • If you haven’t already, I urge you to download Jennifer Morales’, Dodie Whitaker’s, and Laura McElroy’s document, “Who is Community Singing For?” It was created as a vital response to inclusion issues in the global Community Singing movement.

  • Check out this amazing free software that allows you to route audio between apps internally. That means, for example, that you can route GarageBand, Logic Pro, or your favorite music app directly to Zoom or Jamulus. No more playing backing tracks on another device and having your mic pick it up (or piping it through your audio interface)! I’ll have a review of how this works with Jamulus in a future post. (I hear that Loopback is also great for internal audio routing, although not free.)

  • Te Martin has a new EP with great songs for community singing.

Keep singing,

Marv
