I’m Marv Zauderer (he/they).

I’m in awe of singing’s unique power to connect us more deeply within, to each other, and to something larger than ourselves. To me, singing is a crucial part of the social infrastructure of our communities — as important as roads and bridges, for so many of us, for our feelings of connectedness, belonging, and well-being. My passion is to make singing absolutely as easy as possible for anyone to join us and feel uplifted. And as a straight, white, cis, AMAB (Assigned Male at Birth), I’m committed to using my power, privilege, and platforms to uplift women, People of the Global Majority (aka BIPOC), LGBTQIA+ folx, and all others who are so often marginalized — and worse — in our society.

I’m a graduate of the Community Choir Leadership Training program and Littlebird Songleader Flight School, a member of The Living Room Choir, and a proud alum of the West Marin Choir/Common Voice. In addition to leading the SingOnline.org Song Circle, where through the miracle of free software, unlike on Zoom, everyone can see and hear every word sung by everyone, I lead the Joyful Voices Chorus and the Central Marin Singers song circle on unceded Coast Miwok land in Marin County, California.

I also have a psychotherapy practice, in which I can work via Zoom with anyone living in California or Florida (therapywithmarv.com), and an executive coaching practice, working with for-profit and nonprofit execs and Board members who have hit a bump in the road (coachingwithmarv.com). In my previous careers I was Founder & CEO of a hunger relief organization and a technology executive at such companies as Apple.
